Plan your perfect motorhome adventure
Large motorhomes are not suitable for winter driving in Iceland. Strong winds, icy roads, and sudden storms make winter travel dangerous in a high-profile vehicle. We strongly recommend booking for summer months (May–September) only.
You need a valid driver's license (held for at least 1 year), passport or ID, and a credit card for the security deposit.
Our minimum rental period is 5 days. Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance.
Our motorhome is not permitted on F-roads (highland tracks). Only designated 4×4 vehicles are allowed on mountain roads.
All rentals include Standard insurance (CDW), full kitchen equipment, camper power cable, extension lead, toilet chemicals, and an extra driver at no charge. Bed linen and extra items can be added during booking.
Submit a booking request — we'll check availability and send you a secure payment link within a few hours. Once payment is complete your booking is confirmed and you'll receive full pickup instructions.
A refundable security deposit of €2,000 applies with Standard insurance. This reduces to €1,000, €500, or €0 with our Silver, Gold, or Platinum insurance packages.
Tips, guides, and inspiration for your Icelandic adventure
A small family business with a big passion for Iceland
Kodiak Campers is run by Ólafur, Bára, and Davíð — three Icelanders who know this country inside out and want to share it with you.
We have three carefully maintained motorhomes — a Sunlight A72, a Sunlight A70, and a Mercedes Sprinter — and every rental gets our personal attention. When you book with us, you deal directly with the owners — not a call centre or a support queue. If you have a question before, during, or after your trip, one of us will answer it.
We started Kodiak Campers because we believe the best way to experience Iceland is at your own pace, stopping where the view takes your breath away and waking up to landscapes you won't find at any hotel. We hope our motorhomes give you exactly that.
